DynoTech Software is a software development company started by Dave Carlson and James Lindly in April 1994 in Missouri. The company relocated to Minnesota in December 1999, to Michigan in June 2002, then back to Minnesota in May 2005.
We write and publish computer games and custom software solutions (50+ years of combined programming experience). We saw a need for certain types of Windows games with high-quality graphics, music, and sounds. |

DynoTech began with educational games and expanded to entertainment titles. The Dino Trilogy games (Dino Match, Dino Numbers, and Dino Spell) were developed with the guidance of a team of professional educators. Many elementary schools and day care centers use Dino Trilogy games in their curriculum. Dino Match, our first title, is especially useful in developing cognitive skills. It was released as a commercial product in 1994. We updated and moved it to the trialware market in 1995. It reached it's final (?) form in January 1996 with the release of Version 4.
James is the main programming guru. His programming language of choice is Microsoft VISUAL BASIC PRO (Versions 3 and 6). We've tried various "brands" of BASIC, PASCAL, and C variants. We always come back to VISUAL BASIC, but we are becoming more interested in Borland's DELPHI. We use 20/20 Software's PC Install program for our SETUP with 16-bit games, and PC-Install or Microsoft SETUP for 32-bit games. Dave writes many of our help files "by hand" and also uses ForeHelp by ForeFront, Incorporated.
DynoTech Software, a member of the Association of Shareware Professionals and Educational Software Cooperative, has sold its software in all 50 U.S. states and over 90 other countries. See a list of foreign distributors below.
